A $30 million company later hired him to turn around its federal division, which was losing money. He did it in eight months.

Tom Prokop
Tom Prokop has spent his career either advising the C-suite or sitting in it. He started in The Home Depot's internal audit leadership development program, moved to KPMG's risk advisory practice, and spent more than ten years in commercial consulting and transformation roles at companies including Omnicare, Duke Energy and Freddie Mac.
He started his own government contracting firm in 2014 with a contract in hand. Over nearly ten years he grew it past $10 million in revenue and more than 100 employees at its peak, won more than 70 contracts across federal, state, local, education and commercial clients, and acquired a defense IT and telecom company in 2019. The firm made the Inc. 5000 in 2021 and 2022. He led the firm through the end of 2022.
Tom co-founded Kraken Federal in 2023. He is an RSM Federal Certified Coach and was named RSM Federal Coach of the Year - Platinum in 2025.
He holds an MBA from DePaul University and a B.S. in Finance from Saint Vincent College.
